General Information
Customer Responsibility:
Be prepared and understand the risks. Adventure sports involve risks on the part of the participant. Although we take precautions to ensure an enjoyable trip, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or lost and damaged articles. We require that you acknowledge these risks by listing to a safety briefing prior to your activity as well as reading and signing a liability release prior to departure. We can e-mail or mail one to you for review. There are many options and activities to choose from that offer varying degrees of difficulty so make sure you choose a trip within your group’s personal limits keeping all participants in mind.
Remember to consider your group’s comfort levels when deciding on a difficulty level for your adventure. Minimum requirements exist and they are a guide for you to use when making a decision about the adventure you are choosing. Factors that go into minimum ages include but are not limited to a person’s height, weight, physical ability, mental capability and maturity levels. These factors along with years of experience of servicing thousands of guests have gone into setting minimum ages. These ages are just a guide and it is up to the participants and there guardians to choose an adventure within their limits.
Reservations:
While Reservations are strongly suggested, walk-ins are always welcome. Advanced reservations are always beneficial as many of our adventures have limited capacity.
Please understand that when a reservation is made with GAC it is a commitment for us to hold space for you and possibly turn others away from that particular Adventure. If you choose to cancel, it can be difficult for us to rebook a trip, especially when the cancellation is close to the trip date. With this in mind we must be firm in adhering to the following:
Payment/Cancellation/No Shows:
To reserve space, a $10 non-refundable deposit is required for each participant when you make your reservation. Reservations are confirmed at 6pm the night before all the following days activities. Cancellations can be made with no penalty up to that time. Reservations are held with a credit card and payments are run at 6pm. Multiple cards can be help for large groups etc. We will gladly accept Master Card, VISA, American Express and Discover over the telephone but will also allow payments be mailed to our office. Payments mailed to our office must be received 7 days prior to your trip departure day. All reservations made within 24 hours of the trip departure are considered final with no refunds, unless we cancel due to extreme weather conditions, insufficient reservations or other factors beyond our control. In such cases your money will be fully refunded. *Exception: If we determine river conditions to be unsafe, we reserve the right to transfer parties to a different river on the same day or arrange to run the same river on another day. We will make every effort to give you as much notice as possible.
Minors:
Minors less than 18 years of age not accompanied by their parent or legal guardian must bring to the office our release form signed by their parent or legal guardian. Our release form can be downloaded from the website or we can email or snail mails you. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Some of our adventures may not be suitable for young children, please do not hesitate to contact our knowledgeable staff with any questions you may have regarding your child’s participation. Children must be at least 35lbs to participate in our family float trips.
Photos:
GAC reserves the right to take photographic, film or video of any of its Adventures. All Participants agree that GAC may use such photographic, film or video records for promotional and/or commercial purposes.






Lakota Guides operates under special use permits from the White River National Forest. All or part of this operation is conducted on Public Lands under special permit from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. Lakota Guides is an equal opportunity service provider.
