Our 1 hr. tour, led by Thomas, Tourmaster Extreme, was everything we hoped for and more. Perfect way to get around town and see the sites with very little effort or exertion. Excellent pre-tour training is provided and interesting commentary regarding the sites is shared. Our regret is that we didn’t do the 3 hr. tour – we’ll know better next time. Thank you Thomas for a very memorable experience. Fun for the whole family, that’s for sure!

All four of us had never been on a segway before and thought that this was the perfect opportunity being $65 for 3 hours. Granted, most of the first hour is used just to get you familiar with how to ride a segway and is VERY IMPORTANT. The segways they have are the X2 model which is heavier and more powerful than the original and if not treated with the utmost respect they will try and hurt you. But MAN what a ride.
Thomas, our guide, lead us through town which has some up and down hills which helps him judge what kind of crew he is dealing with before he tries to take them offroad. We, fortunately, had only one rider thrown on a step downhill (remember to step to the back on step downhills) but his training helped her to properly dismount in case of emergency so no one was hurt.
After taking us through a couple of downtown parks, we started our assent up a mountain on the west side of Glenwood Springs. It was a fairly large gravel road and the large tired segways handled it well. We went to an overlook which had a great view of the Glenwood Springs and the surrounding mountains.
After going back down, we went back through the town and saw a lot of the sites. Segways will get you where you are going quickly.
It seemed that Thomas tailors the trip to the participants (we liked history so he took us to a lot of historical sites) and I think if we were more experienced in our segway skills than we would have gone more places.
We had lots of fun and considering our group was of many different physical conditions (a walking or biking tour would have seperated us) we stayed together and had fun.
Also, if you go to Glenwood Canyon Brewing for lunch, tell them Thomas sent you.

We took the Segway tour on August 23, 2010 and had Thomas for a guide, who gave an excellent pre-tour training, giving each person individualized attention (there was six of us). The other two couples had never riden a Segway before but we have been on three other Segway tours in different states. Yet Thomas managed to teach us techniques that we weren’t aware of. We found those techniques quite useful. The Segway X2 was much easier to ride than the lower models we had riden on previous tours elsewhere. I could go on and on about what a great and informative tour this was, how beautiful the scenery was, and how professional, yet friendly Thomas is. We highly recommend this company, and Thomas. If we ever travel back to this area, we will take this Segway tour again. Visit my website at http://www.tworvgypsies.us for photos and additional comments about this tour.
