We visit Glenwood Springs almost every summer and took up ATV touring several years ago.  We couldn’t believe how much terrain is right out our back door.  We mostly go with friends, but we have also enjoyed helping families with kids enjoy the backcountry on ATV’s.  Even though we love to hike and ride bikes, it’s nice to mix it up with ATV touring.

Some of our best summer days were spent on the River in Glenwood Springs. It’s an activity everyone can do, including our kids. Now that our kids are getting older we are starting to get into Duckies as well. I’ve even tried Stand Up Paddleboards a few times and they were a blast. We’re  fortunate to have access to several rivers in the summer because you can almost always find the right water level for Tubes and Duckies.

Our best memories of Colorado were from a jeep. Some of the vistas we saw and roads we traveled were absolutely stunning. I look forward to Fall especially with the changing aspen trees set against the dark green of the alpine forest.  The Bair Ranch is a pretty special place with a little bit of everything for Off-Road Touring.  It doesn’t get much better than that.

Biking in Glenwood Springs is amazing. Whenever we visit, we make time for a ride. If the kids are along, we grab a tag-a-long or trailer and let them take in the stunning views from the Glenwood Canyon trail. If its just us, we rent mountain bikes and hit some of the off-road trails like boy scout trail. There aren’t many places better for biking in Colorado.
